How to get gum out of hair?

Ahhh-a good question, because I have your answer! My little girls had beautiful long hair. The answer is, believe it or not, peanut butter. Grab a large amount and rub it into the gum, rubbing for several minutes. It will come right out! The combination of the oil and the grainy texture is perfect! The fun will be in washing out the peanut butter, but much better than cutting the hair.

Try peanut butter or oil. The grease in these help break down the gum so you can pull it out easier. You may need to cut some hair but not a big wad. Just a few pieces to loosen the wad.

I know it sounds strange but if you have any WD40 and gently work it in, then comb out.Causes no problems to the dog and it works like a charm. Just be sure to give your dog a bath after and make sure the soap is really out as left over soap can cause skin problems.Good luck!

Either peanut butter and ice or any type of cooking oil. The ice will harden the gum and the oil in the peanut butter or cooking oil will help it slip out. You'll need to use a comb to gently and patiently work it out. DON'T use a dog brush. It won't work and will only hurt your dog in the process by pulling on all the surrounding hairs.

Try using olive oil. It works really well and doesnt have that peanut butter smell. Its also good for the dogs skin and coat!
