Dying my hair red?

so i have light-medium brown hair with lots of blond highlights so its pretty light brown specially at the bottom. I'm thinking about maybe dying my hair red or black, probably red. I want to test it out with a semi-permanent dye. Some people say though that the dye wont completely wash out especcially where my hair is blond and that it will be reddish there. is that true? also since i am very pale (pinkish), light brown eyes, long ovalish face and long hair (like 7 inches below my shoulders) and black eyebrows, what shade of red would look best? do i need to dye my eyebrows? and should my hair be cut or will i look fine with longer red hair?

Dying my hair red?

If you want to see it with out committing to it- your only safe option is trying on a wig in the color you are thinking about. Those blond highlights will suck up any type of color that gets near them. If you like the look of the red I would seek out a salon that works with Framesi color. Professionally I love all the choices in red and the strength of the line. The colorist will consult with you about the correct tones for you. I would also have my eyebrows done at that time in salon. The job would only be half done without it. Your highlights will most likely need to be filled prior to coloring over. They will explain all of it.

Dying my hair red?

i don{t know im not a stylist

Dying my hair red?

Pink skin + brown eyes = not good looking with red hair.

If you do decide to dye your hair red you'll definitely need to dye those eyebrows.

There are products you could try that will wash out during your next shampoo to see if you really want to go red. You can find these products at any retail store.

Dying my hair red?

my friend has shorter hair that is wavy. she only painted the tips of her hair and then another half of the red she painted blue, so it kind of turned into 3 layers, blue, purple, and red. it looks rad!

Dying my hair red?

Do not dye your eyebrows!! Old ladies dye their eyebrows it looks so stupid! Your highlights will probaby turn pink if you dye them red, you'll never be able to get black out of your hair either. If you want red I think you should let a proffesional go around your highlights and dye the brown red and leave the highlights, then you won't end up with pink hair. I had light brown highlighted hair and dyed it almost black and now its been that way for a year and I hate it!! I can't go back to my natural color with out ruining my hair, please don't go really dark you'll regret it!

Dying my hair red?

What about going for a ruby red like Grace in Will and Grace, she did not dye her eyebrows.

Dying my hair red?

A nice crimson red or ruby red would probably go well with your skin tone. If you're going to do the brows go to a professional stylist. You should dye your hair all one color first because if you don't the blond will be a different color than the brown. If it all starts out one color it will dye as close to the same color as possible. No dye will completely wash out of your hair. With time and as new hair grows, it will gradually "remove" the dye for lack of a better word. If you're not sure about color options you should always go to a professional stylist. It may be more expensive but at least you'll get the look and color that you most want.

BEST OF LUCK TO YOU. Let me know how it turned out.

Dying my hair red?

well if you mean aburn, your blonde highlights probably wont work with that. the hair stylist may have to dye it over a course of a few days. i have natural aburn hair and my eyebrows are brown, so dont dye them.

Dying my hair red?

GO TO A REPUTED SALON ; THE STYLIST WILL GUIDE YOU. HOW ABOUT REDDISH AUBURN ? THIS SHADE WOULD ALLOW YOU TO WEAR BRIGHT RED , WITHOUT MAKING YOU LOOK LIKE LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD ; YES THE EYEBROWS TOO. GOOD LUCK.

Hair extensions stupid?

ok i understand that some people cant grow their hair out long or get extensions while waiting for their hair to grow out long but does anyone else think its stupid that some people like paris hilton keep their hair cut really short and wear extensions all the time instead of just letting their hair grow long? i mean she keeps her real hair cut at her chin but always wears hair extensions does anyone else think its kinda stupid?

Hair extensions stupid?

I think people who wear extensions probably don't like the quality of their own hair ( e.g. too fine, too wiry or curly) and feel that extensions give them a chance to look nice. Paris Hilton looks like she has baby fine hair, so if she did grow it out, it would probably have no body and would appear limp or flat. She probably wouldn't think she looked "hot" anymore with her natural hair.

Hair extensions stupid?

Well from what I hear alot of celebs where extentions because it is easier to style and they are very versitle. Celebs are always getting their hair curled, styled, teased and brushed dozens of times a day and all of that assessive styling can cause havok to your real hair so they wear extentions to keep their real hair healthy.

Hair extensions stupid?

i don't think it's stupid. I do think it's stupid to be so concerned and judgmental about what other ppl do with their hair or body. Do you really think Paris Hilton cares about what you or anyone else thinks?

Ask someone who keeps their hair short and wears extentions if you really want to know. You're the one calling ppl stupid. Put your mom on the phone.

Hair extensions stupid?

I think some people have good reasons for using extensions, and if another answerer's theory about Paris Hilton's hair is correct (that it's thin), then I can understand that she would want extensions. What I do find silly is that in some magazines, when they decide that long hair is "in", it's all about extensions rather than about growing your own. Because real long hair takes time to grow, wearing it can't be a temporary fad, because by the time your hair is long, what's "in" will have changed. My personal opinion is that long hair is "classic" and can never really go out of style. There will always be people who love it and who admire the dedication it takes to cultivate a thing of beauty. I am one of those people. Here's something that really irritates me: Locks of Love sells 99% of the hair it receives and very little of it actually goes to children with alopecia. Even then, they aren't necessarily donated; the price is on a sliding scale depending on the family's income. That's something you can figure out by going to their site, calculating how many hair donations they receive in a year, how many ponytails it takes to create a wig, and how many wigs they actually create. The rest (the vast majority) is sold to people like Paris Hilton who can afford to buy real hair extensions. In other words, while some people donate their hair thinking they are doing a great gesture, other long haired people get guilt-tripped into donating the mane they love so rich people can look like they have long hair without having the patience to grow their own.

Hair extensions stupid?

I think that hair extensions give people many options on styles they can choose. Some probably because of imperfections in their own hair, such as thin or damaged. Especially celebrities they have to change styles and looks constantly and that is probably the easiest way to do that.

When i cut my hair short,it turns wavy and thick..can i solve this?

hi!

i have this long hair that i've straightened some time back.the thing is, i'm thinking of cutting it short, mainly because i'd like a change to the short hair look.

my problem is that whenever i cut it in the past,my hair will become naturally wavy and thick. i don't mind the wave, but is there anyway to solve the thick hair? because it makes my hair look unkempt and hard to maintain..

thnks (:

When i cut my hair short,it turns wavy and thick..can i solve this?

You can go to the hairdressers and get her to cut into your hair with thinning scissors. Mostly having longer hair with the weight keeps your hair from going wavy or curly. Iget this done as i have thick wavy hair also and getting it thinned down will be easier managed better and better to work with when blowdrying

When i cut my hair short,it turns wavy and thick..can i solve this?

Ask your stylist to textuize it and see if that helps.

I need funky ideas for my hair!!!! HELP!!!!?

Hi, i have just had my hair cut to medium/long style. I really need help! I have light brown hair with loads of layers. I have a bit of hair that wont tie up at the very front. I am open to any ideas apart from curling. Hopefully something really funky and stylish please! =] If you post i would be really greatfull!

I need funky ideas for my hair!!!! HELP!!!!?

try a bump or poof in the front my friend has a similar style and she looks really cute with that, jjst bump it on top and throw in some bobby pins to hold it up

I need funky ideas for my hair!!!! HELP!!!!?

maybe try the puff, or even trying to put your hair into two ponytails, spraying it with hairspray and then straightening some parts while, teasing the others. itll give it a funky, messy effect. looks cute with two lil chunks of hair hanging down in front with a puff ontop. or maybe try cutting your hair a bit shorter at the top in the back and spiking it out. just some suggestions

I need funky ideas for my hair!!!! HELP!!!!?

twist in the front going back with sparkly clip to hold them

or slightly twist hair in spunky ponytails with clips to hold them

leave back of hair out

you can also try crinkles or a flip or a weave clip ins to add highlights....peace

Is it true that in order for your hair to grow you need to cut it? why is that?

my daughter at age 8 had hair below her rear end. it was long, curly and gorgeous. but we were told that because we never trimmed it as it grew it was all unhealthy. so we cut it to below your nape, thinking it'd grow back. it hasn't!! she is somewhat depressed about it. she misses her long hair, she's 10 now. and it hasnt grown past that very same point!!!! in two years!

i've even heard we may have "shocked" her hair by cutting it and it wont grow back....i'm very confused.

Is it true that in order for your hair to grow you need to cut it? why is that?

It's totally wrong. It's just because when you cut your hair, it becomes stronger and you see better that they are growing !!

Is it true that in order for your hair to grow you need to cut it? why is that?

yea i think so cuz when i cut my hair it grow the next week!!

Is it true that in order for your hair to grow you need to cut it? why is that?

To get rid of split ends, this helps it to grow faster.

Is it true that in order for your hair to grow you need to cut it? why is that?

You're not susposto 'cut' it, but every once and a while you're susposto trim the bottom of your hair to remove unhealthy split ends and make it grow longer. I would recommend going back to the place where you got her hair cute when she was eight and show them what happened. They might be able to give you a certin shampoo or something. I wouldnt curl it or straighten it will an iron or anything else that can burn the hair until it all grows back.

Good Luck 閳?br> (hope your daughter's hair grows back) =]

Is it true that in order for your hair to grow you need to cut it? why is that?

You don't have to cut it, in order for it to grow. But it's a good idea to cut trim the split ends off every 2-3 months.

Is it true that in order for your hair to grow you need to cut it? why is that?

I don't think you "shocked" her hair, but if you massage the oil once a week and soak for 30 minutes before washing, then it should grow back.

Is it true that in order for your hair to grow you need to cut it? why is that?

It's very natural to miss long hair when you cut it, and it is not a decision that can be easily undone. I'm sorry if she is still having regrets 2 years down the road.

Hair that is never cut does begin to show damage--split ends, etc, but trimming off the damaged ends periodically should suffice--one doesn't need to cut 12" of hair off to stimulate growth. Growth occurs whether there is 2" or 2 feet of hair.

How sure are you that her hair isn't growing? Adult hair grows at 1/4" per month, and kids' hair may grow slower than this. At that rate, you would only expect 3" of hair growth per year if you never even trimmed it. I'm guessing that the distance between her nape and her rear end are at least 15" apart, i.e. 5 years worth of growth.

Is it true that in order for your hair to grow you need to cut it? why is that?

you are kidding right?... if that was right what about guys? they cut their hair once every month dont they? If what you said is true then their hair must not be growing at all. Whether or not you cut the hair it will continue to grow in the same pace. If it isnt, then its due to some health problem.

Is it true that in order for your hair to grow you need to cut it? why is that?

Cutting hair has nothing to do with the growth rate of hair it took her 8 years to get to that length. Her hair is alot healthier now that it has been cut so her curls a just bouncing nicer now. I bet when her hair is wet and you comb it straight down you will notice that it is longer. But when it dries it just bounces up. It will grow in time

Is it true that in order for your hair to grow you need to cut it? why is that?

You have to trim the ends regularly as hair stops growing on split ends. Lavender oil has been shown to increase hair growth so massage the oil once a week and soak for 30 minutes before washing. Try http://solutionsforhairgrowth.blogspot.c... for more details.

Is it true that in order for your hair to grow you need to cut it? why is that?

If you dont cut the split ends they carry on splitting up (like pulling a piece of cotton apart). Therefore your hair is more unhealthy and the ends snap more, so it doesnt stop it growing just stops it snapping off the ends. Childrens hair grows much faster when theyre going through a grow spurt, maybe your little girl has been through one since having her hair cut!

I have super short hair! I mum hates long hair! Wat should i do?

My hair a short boyish haircut. My mum does not allow me to grow my hair. Instead she says that i can pick a very short haircut. But if she does not like it she would choose it for me. N when she chooses it it wil be super short like a flatliner or a slope cut with very short side burns and bangs. It is a must that the shaver is used in my haircut. I ususally have my haircut in a baber. So can u suggest to me styles which are quite short. The styles must not be fancy and bangs and side burns must be quite short. i m a gal n i m 10 years old!

If possible pls send me pics!( pic can be boys haircut)

I need ur help!

Give me as many ideas as u can!

I have super short hair! I mum hates long hair! Wat should i do?

Have fun with it and add some gel make it the 'bedhead' look!!

I have super short hair! I mum hates long hair! Wat should i do?

Just show your mom in magazines or television all the cute things you can do will lone hair, like curl it, or straignten it. Show her that there are way more possibilities with long hair, than there are short.Just try it, Good Luck!!!!!

I have super short hair! I mum hates long hair! Wat should i do?

Your mom is probably more ashamed of your poor grasp of the english language.

Quit worrying about your hair and learn how to spell.

I have super short hair! I mum hates long hair! Wat should i do?

i would not worry about how short your hair is .just take a look around you ,you will see that there are many styles young people have these days no matter if you are a boy or girl

I think they are so cute!

just play up your feminine side with makeup and clothes, make the hair yours!

I have super short hair! I mum hates long hair! Wat should i do?

You are 10 years old so you may not have seen the movie "Ghost". In it, Demi Moore has a fabulous short hair style. You can probably find pics on the internet. I have long hair and I am tempted to go for a short cut because it looks so easy and fun. Just play with your hair with gel or mousse. Scrunch it up or blow dry it with your head upside down. And remember, when you get older you can grow it as long as you like! But check out the Demi Moore hairstyle. I think it's so cool!

I have super short hair! I mum hates long hair! Wat should i do?

Well, my mom is the same way! My hair was like 17 inches and she made get a haircut and now it's like 10 inches. Well what I did was realize that the reason she made me cut it was because it makes it easier to wash! But I still hate how it's short! Here's somethings I do to my hair when its short...

Check out these webs to see what I mean....

[How old are you? I'm 10]

How old should you child be when they get their first hair cut....and would you do it if your partne

My son turned a year one the July 12 and he has fairly long hair.....long for a year...and I want tocut it, but my b/f doesnt want to.....and is he too young?

How old should you child be when they get their first hair cut....and would you do it if your partner said no?

I cut my son's hair a little before after he turned one, it was getting too long. He looked super cute, and it hurt me to do it, because all those little curls where going to be gone, but he needed it.

If my husband said no, I personally would still do it, because I know how he would react. Trust your gut, you know your boyfriend better, make sure he won't be too mad. Besides, hair ALWAYS grows back. Since he's a boy, I think it would be best, once I went to the doctors office, and this girl walked in with this little kid. The kid was super cute, with these big eyes, and beautiful eye lashes, and curly read hair. I asked "how old is SHE?" and the girl said "HE's one" I felt so bad, I didn't know where to stick my head, let alone my big mouth. She told me that it always happens, that she's use to it. But I don't think it's fair, if it's a boy, he should look like a boy with short hair, if it's a girl, she should look like a girl with bows, or long hair.

That's just my opinion. Make sure you make the right choice, try talking to your boyfriend again, maybe you can get him to change his mind.

Good luck!

I almost forgot, try to do it at home, because it might be a little scary. My mom gave him his first hair cut, now my husband does it.

How old should you child be when they get their first hair cut....and would you do it if your partner said no?

He is not too young if you think its time then go for it

How old should you child be when they get their first hair cut....and would you do it if your partner said no?

I think 1 is old enough to get your first hair cut and maybe you should sit down and explain to him why you want to cut his hair and explain that it will grow back. Remember to save the hair from his first hair cut for the baby book!

How old should you child be when they get their first hair cut....and would you do it if your partner said no?

I guess it depends on how bad the hair is starting to look. My bestfriend son has curly hair and it was long and out of control, so she got it cut hahaha. My other friends son is just a day older then him, but doesn't need one. It all depends on how their hair grows in. He's not too young.

How old should you child be when they get their first hair cut....and would you do it if your partner said no?

He isn't too young, however this is an awfully silly thing to get into a fight over. Unless it is really a pain to care for why not try to work things out with your boyfriend and figure out why he doesn't want to cut your son's hair.

How old should you child be when they get their first hair cut....and would you do it if your partner said no?

I think a lot of people cut thier child's hair sometime during the 1st or 2nd year. It can be really scary for a kid, though, maybe because they think it will hurt.

I'm for letting it grow until people start to think he's a girl. It might cause tension and distrust if you do this without your partner's consensus.

How old should you child be when they get their first hair cut....and would you do it if your partner said no?

I don't think so. My son has very curly hair. When he turned a year it was turning into a baby afro. I wanted to cut it. Then my husband got deployed. He wanted to be there for his first hair cut so I waited until he got home. He had all his curls cut off at sixteen months but I really wish we would've done it sooner.

Try to convince your boyfriend to get it done sooner if it really looks bad. People always commented on how great and cute my son's curls were but I thought it was time to get rid of them. LOL! Do what's best for all of you...

PS. He's now 18 months and his hair is already close to where it was two months ago. If I were you I'd learn how to do boy haircuts. LOL!

How old should you child be when they get their first hair cut....and would you do it if your partner said no?

I trimmed my baby's hair when they were 2 months old. Actually the entire family (husband's side) was against it but I went ahead and did it. Nothing happened to my kids. See they had really bad cradle cap and I couldn't take it off with anything so I needed to get rid of the hair to wash their little scalp better.

How old should you child be when they get their first hair cut....and would you do it if your partner said no?

Tell your husband you are raising a boy, not a girl he is getting a haircut, get over it.

How old should you child be when they get their first hair cut....and would you do it if your partner said no?

He's not going to cooperate and the whole thing will be a pain. Wait until he's about 18 months old. If his father wants to wait even longer that's OK too. Different cultures and families have different beliefs and frankly, it's no big deal in the long run.

How old should you child be when they get their first hair cut....and would you do it if your partner said no?

If it's too long, then cut it. Your son isn't too young for a hair cut.

My son was about 10months old when he had his first "trim". It wasn't long, but it was already a bit too long, and I prefer short hair on boys.
