it depends a lot on your face shape. there are ways you can accent your eyes or cover a large forehead or make your face appear thinner by the length and cut of your hair. First off, pull all of your hair back into a ponytail and slick back any bangs too. Looking infront of a mirror, use a crayon,lipstick or eyeliner (that can be washed off) and draw the outline of your face' refection onto the mirror. Notice the shape around the hairline, jawline and chin. There are some common shapes such as heart, oval, round, triangle, diamond and square. (some are mixes of both) Once you determine the natural shape of your face it will help you find a style to fit nice. You can search face shapes on the internet for fun styles. Also, consider your daily life and how much time you want to put into maintaining your hair. If you have black hair, please keep it black and long because you can do so much when it has length. Bleaching it blonde is a joke as it will cost so much to keep it up and ruin the natural shine %26amp; texture of your hair. If you are tried of the same old look, perheps invest in some velcro rollers,a large rod curling iron, or just braid it the night beforehand to get some fun new curls and add dimension. Try some new bangs or try parting it in a different way. There are some online virtual makeover websites where you upload your photo and try on different hairstyles. This can be lots of fun, but it isnt a true way of knowing if your hair type will truly be able to do that color and style.
