I have hair that is hip length. I'll call it that because it needs to grow 1 maybe 2 inches before I can let's say, sit on it. Anyways, a 10 year old boy walked around behind me and said,"whoa..." I turned around and he asked me how long I was growing my hair. I said for four years and then he said that it was older than his brother and that it was taller (longer) than him too. I'm unsure whether to get a hairsut. People tell me that they love my hair and never to cut it while others scoff and ask how I will manage it aLL IN A FEW YEAR'S TIME. What do you think? too long? time for a haircut?

you really shouldn't care what people think. it's your hair. do whatever.

although, I do have one suggestion. dreadlocks are very very hot. and the work really well for with people with hair that have shoulder length hair. there are a lot of rumors about dreadlocks, that aren't true. such as people w/ dreads have bugs, or that they're dirty. that's actually not the case.

not many people have dreadlocks, so if you wanna have an uncommon hair style, go with that. you can also add cute little beads to you hair, and other acessories.

My daughter's hair was that long and I didn't ever want to cut it, but after I did, wow, she looked like she fit in to the times...didn't realize how she didn't until we cut it...it was beautiful...donate it to cancer patients...they'll pay you for it too! I have long hair too. It's down to my lower back. As long as your hair is healthy, and you still take the time fix it... then it's not too long. Here's what you can do: You can cut a few inches off of your hair. (Your hair will still be long) If you love having those few inches gone, then you could cut it even shorter. If you miss having those three inches, then you know you need to keep it long. And with long hair, three inches will grow right back in no time if you do decide you want to keep it long!

You should wear your hair at whatever length looks nice to you. If you do get it cut, maybe you shouldn't go too short at first...It might be too much of a shock.

Shorter hair (shoulder-length) is easier to style though.

Wow. That is some long hair. If you're not already getting regular trims, you should start. Otherwise, what length you want is totally up to you. If you really want a change, I would suggest cutting it to waist-length, and putting in lots of layers. It would help add movement and lighten things up.

It depends. Some people look better with long hair, some people look better with short hair. Having it all the way down to your waist is probably a bit long, though, I'd suggest cutting it up to say around the middle of your back, and then more if you think it suits you. Keep in mind, long hair can get in the way of doing certain things; I've heard of women who keep their hair quite short just because they don't want it getting in the way.

Sounds to me like you need an updated haircut, you should get it cut to right below the shoulders with long layers and side bangs it looks cute on just about everyone and then you can do a good deed at the same time. i had long hair down to my waist and cut it and i have always regretted. u think it would be nice to fit in and be able to have a ponytail but the reality is its boring and just makes you like everyone else... not stand out in the crowd.

My hair is about that length and there are times (summer in CA.) when i want to chop it all off. But, I haven't yet i still feel comfortable with the lengh, if you feel comfortable with it keep it long, if not cut away!!!

I personally prefer short hair, and wouldn't want hair that long.

2. Am I content with the style, and the way my hair looks?
